Welcome to Mikes Movie Reviews!

I let this site go awhile ago, mainly because I got into a relationship with the woman I later married, but I plan to try to get back into it! I do not yet know how frequently, but it won't be with any direction. I am pretty much only going to post my reviews of movies I've seen recently that I feel it is worth saying something about. There are no rules to what I will and won't or how often.

Release Date: 4/1/05 (Theatrical)
Sin CitySummary:
"Walk down the right back alley of Sin City and you can find anything." A movie pieced together from three different stories it's pretty hard to sum it all up. I guess the best way to do it would be that a bar in the dirtiest city your imagination could concoct houses the people you would never want to run into and the stories that spawn off from there. The most graphic, violent, horrific, disturbing, insane, amazing comic book movie I've ever seen, I'm surprised it received an R rating and not an NC-17. If there is an unrated/uncut version of this film, I'd love to see it.

I didn't know what to expect going into this movie--yeah I was excited as hell because of the tailer, but I was preparing myself for disappointment. Right before I went into it a friend of mine told me that the cinematography was great, but the directing sucked.

There's not really much I can say about this other than just go see it. Seriously, if you are a comic book fan, a Tarantino fan, a Frank Miller fan, a Robert Rodriguez fan, an action fan, or a film fan in general, you won't be disappointed. That's all I'm saying... lips are sealed. No more. Just go. Go now.

But don't get too hyped up over it.

Technical and Features:
Absolutely beautiful. I'm in love with this new technique that Sin City and Sky Captain utilized. I'm not so much a fan of the way Lucas uses it, but the way Rodriguez used it for style is genius.

A. No question. No debate. I loved it. Go see it. Instant cult classic. Last movie I said that about was The Matrix and I was right on the money.
